Dave Popkin is a versatile, veteran sportscaster based in the New York Metropolitan Area. Dave is entering his 14th season as a commentator with the Seton Hall Basketball radio network (AM 970 and SiriusXM). He is a frequent presence on CBS Sports Network serving as the play-by- play Voice of Northeast Conference Basketball (17th year), the College Insider Tournament (3rd year), and the National Youth Baseball Championships (1st year). Dave also currently calls baseball for the BIG EAST Digital Network and women's basketball on FS2 and BEDN. Popkin called eight different sports for both CN8 and MSG Varsity. The University of Miami graduate has 14 years of minor league baseball play-by- play experience, including for the Triple A Iowa Cubs and currently the Buffalo Bisons (4th year).


Dave is happy to rejoin Gary Cohen and engineer Mike Infantino for their 15th year together broadcasting Seton Hall Basketball. The games will again air on AM970 The Answer and WMCA 570 AM in New York,, and with selected broadcasts on Sirius XM.

This season marks Dave's 18th year as the TV play-by-play voice of Northeast Conference men's basketball. The conference sets a record for most national telecasts this year, including 5 games airing on CBSSN. Click here for release.

In 2018, Dave will return for his fifth year as an announcer for the Buffalo Bisons Radio Network (Triple A-Toronto), joining his compadre Ben Wagner on WWKB ESPN 1520,, and the TuneIn app. Early trips include: Norfolk, Durham, Toledo, Columbus, and Lehigh Valley. Click for game times.
